I was given candesartan 8mg in the morning for years and tolerated it really well. Unfortunately, the effect eventually wore off and I was given valsartan 80mg. After two weeks I started to have trouble sleeping and after the third week I got nausea, discomfort, flatulence and diarrhoea. I stopped taking the medication and looked for another one.

I have been taking the preparation for about 4 months because of high blood pressure, 120mg daily. I am a patient with atrial fibrillation and have had two operations to obliterate the source. I hardly had any extrasystoles before taking the drug, no noticeable atrial fibrillation. The cardiologist was satisfied. The doctor then diagnosed high blood pressure before starting the medication and prescribed Valsartan 80 mg. In the beginning, my RR was acceptable, but I started to have more frequent extrasystoles and for some time now, confirmed by a long-term ECG, I have also had atrial fibrillation episodes. I have increased headaches, am constantly tired and also have increased sleep disturbances. The noise in my ears is particularly annoying, like a high-pitched roar, very unpleasant. Difficulties concentrating and forgetfulness are increasing. The RR has not improved satisfactorily, the dose should be increased, which I refused. My concern revolves around the atrial fibrillation, now not at 178 pulse as before the operation, but already at 88 pulse. I will therefore stop taking the medication immediately to put an end to this spook of side effects.
