Hello, I recently “tried” 100 Tramadol (retarded) (was lying around at home from my father after surgery) because I often have back and joint pain, pain was dampened but was there, had slight dry mouth but did not really help.

I have taken tramadol several times before, usually only with mild side effects. Had an unbearable sore throat for the last few days due to a virus. Took tramadol (in the morning). This was not a good idea. Extreme nausea, tightness in the chest, headaches etc. (more during the day) You have to be careful with the stuff but the pain-relieving effect is really quite good. In addition, however, there is a rather unpleasant high

I took tramadol 3×50 daily for 5 weeks for post-operative neuropathic abdominal pain and then stopped abruptly due to nausea and constipation.

I experienced very severe withdrawal symptoms:

    Nausea
    Stomach and intestinal complaints
    cramps
    dizziness
    trembling
    chills
    Circulatory problems

I will never take this medication again as it didn’t really help me with my symptoms. Withdrawal is a horror and has lasted over 3 weeks for me.

I have been taking tramadol for a few weeks now for chronic back pain. The pain relief is remarkable and has significantly improved my quality of life. Initially I had slight nausea, but this subsided over time. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Good to take in drop form. Still very slight pain. Sudden nausea followed by vomiting.

Good pain relief, but also severe side effects. Should take a tablet in the morning and evening. That doesn’t work at all as you can only stay at home all day. I only take one in the evening and then have to struggle with the side effects for half the day. Visual disturbance and dizziness.

As a long-time patient with neuropathic pain, I have tried many medications. This drug has made a big difference for me. The pain has become much more bearable and I can take part in social life again. Taking the prolonged-release tablets ensures a consistent effect throughout the day. I was initially concerned about the risk of addiction, but my doctor is carefully monitoring the treatment. The only challenge was finding the right dose to minimise the side effects, especially the drowsiness.

I used Tramadol for acute pain after an operation. While it definitely helped with the pain relief, I found the side effects difficult to manage. The dizziness and nausea were particularly problematic for me. I eventually had to stop taking it and switch to a different painkiller. It was helpful, but unfortunately not right for me.

Tramadol helped me to get my fibromyalgia pain under control. It was a game changer. I recommend starting with a low dose and slowly increasing it to get the best results and avoid side effects. It’s also important to drink plenty of water and not take it on an empty stomach to avoid nausea. I am grateful to have found a medication that helps me without the constant worry of severe side effects.

  10. mixed

My experience with Tramadol has been mixed. On the one hand, it has finally given me the relief from my arthritis pain that I was longing for. On the other hand, I struggle with side effects such as constipation and occasional fatigue. It’s a constant balancing act between pain relief and quality of life. I work closely with my doctor to adjust the dose and manage the side effects, which is working quite well so far.

I’m dealing with chronic pain due to conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Osteoarthritis, and severe spinal damage with nerve entrapment. My spine isn’t robust enough for fusion. I used to take Tramadol four times a day, but now I don’t have access to it, and the pain confines me to my home. I wish to be more mobile, both outdoors and within my house, but the pain from my joints and spine hinders me. Taking two Tramadol tablets a day along with Paracetamol used to enable me to do more and even assist with weight loss, but that’s no longer an option. Is there any other medication that’s as effective as Tramadol? I dislike being housebound and unable to spend time with my family.
