I was given it because of poor bladder emptying and the urge to urinate at night.

I couldn’t tolerate the medication at all and had severe heart rhythm disturbances, accompanied by tiredness and sluggishness throughout the day.

    Absolutely terrible general wellbeing

I am 72 years old and took Tamsulosin for 6 days, in the evening about 2 hours before going to bed. The effect was clearly noticeable from the first day. Great relaxation in the lower abdomen. My sleeping time increased from 3 hours to 5+ hours a night. Nevertheless, I did not feel properly rested/refreshed. Possibly very slight headache/tension in deeper areas of the brain. Possibly effects on brain function, hard to say. Woke up the next morning with a strong one-off colic in the stomach/gullet area. On day 3, severe dizziness, which prevented further speech for a short time. Between day 3 and 6, spontaneous nosebleeds 3 times (thank God at home). This was the decisive reason for stopping the medication. An immediate effect was noticeable after stopping. I felt more rested when I woke up. Once had the experience of sleeping for 7 hours straight weeks ago. What did I do differently the day before? I will continue to experiment with natural methods.

Tamsulosin hydrochloride assisted me in urinating regularly. However, it caused me to experience significant fatigue and weakness. I was on a daily dose of 0.4 mg Flomax. Initially, I took it with my breakfast, but later shifted to taking it post-dinner, which alleviated most of the tiredness.
