I have been taking simvastatin for 3 months now because of my high cholesterol. No side effects so far and my cholesterol has dropped significantly. Quite happy with the effect!
What I really like about Simvastatin is how easy it is to take. Once a day and that’s it. With my hectic lifestyle, that’s ideal. I’ve already noticed an improvement in my cholesterol levels, which is a real relief. No side effects so far, which I see as a big plus.
When my doctor prescribed me Simvastatin, I was optimistic that I had finally found a solution for my cholesterol levels. The first few weeks went without any problems, but then the muscle pain started. At first I thought it was just temporary, but it got worse and worse. I now have an appointment to talk to my doctor about alternatives. It was effective, but the side effects are unbearable for me.
I wanted simvastatin to be the solution to my cholesterol problem, but unfortunately I was struggling with significant side effects. Digestive problems and headaches made it hard for me to stick with it. After a few weeks I decided it wasn’t worth it. Now I’m looking for an alternative that suits me better.
I’ve been on simvastatin for over a decade and it’s been effective. However, when I initially began this medication, I experienced significant pain in my hips and back. My doctor recommended CoQ10 to help with the joint pain. Once I started taking it, the pain subsided and I haven’t had any issues with hip pain for a long time. I’ve since transitioned to Ubiquinol, a more potent form of CoQ10, at a dosage of 100mg per day. I would encourage anyone experiencing joint pain while on any statin medication to consider adding CoQ10 or Ubiquinol to their regimen. My doctor is transitioning me to Crestor, which also appears to cause joint pain, and I plan to continue taking Ubiquinol alongside it.
