Pregabalin was a real helper for me! I struggled for years with pain for weeks after an operation. Since I started taking it, my pain has been much more bearable. At last something that really helps that paracetamol or even tramadol couldn’t.

I tried it for my fibromyalgia but unfortunately experienced more side effects than benefits. The drowsiness and feeling of light-headedness made it impossible for me to go about my daily life. I eventually had to stop taking it and look for other options.

After my diagnosis of anxiety disorder, my doctor prescribed me pregabalin. I was initially hesitant about the idea of taking medication, but the positive change in my life is undeniable. I feel calmer, more balanced and much more able to cope with situations that used to overwhelm me. The drug has definitely helped me to significantly reduce my anxiety.

Taking pregabalin as part of my treatment for epilepsy has led to mixed feelings. On the one hand, I have noticed a reduction in my seizures, which is of course very positive. On the other hand, I struggle with side effects of some morning sickness. It’s a trade-off between the benefits for my health and the effects in the morning… but a few hours later it’s much better.

In 2021, I had a back injury that wasn’t treated during the lockdown. Nerve pain set in, so months later I was put on Gabalin 600mg. After a few months, I was advised to reduce the dose as I was going through life like a dream.
After a few weeks, the nerve pain started again. Panic attacks and anxiety were added. I was prescribed pregabalin as I was in tears and asked for help. My GP said I had PTSD and pregabalin would be helpful to calm the seizure-like nerve pain. After 1 month, the pain and side effects returned.
Anxiety, headaches, heart palpitations, exhaustion, hopelessness and confusion were side effects. Found a group on Facebook that gave me help on how to reduce the dose slowly. Slowly getting better, symptoms come in waves where it’s bad, then times where I’m symptom free. Never again pregabalin
