My son, who just celebrated his 8th birthday, was prescribed a medication with a dosage of 3mg. During the initial two days, he exhibited extreme hyperactivity and confrontational behavior. On the third and fourth days, his demeanor was acceptable, albeit noticeably subdued. However, on the fifth and sixth days, he was excessively quiet, drowsy, and even experienced shaking. His condition was so severe that he was sent home from school. His symptoms were reminiscent of a drug overdose.
This medication has been highly effective in managing my mood swings, which are associated with bipolar type II, borderline personality disorder, and/or schizoaffective disorder (schizoid/thinking along with mood issues). Diagnosing mental illness can be incredibly challenging in some cases, and you may never have a definitive diagnosis. It’s often best to experiment with different medication combinations until you find what works for you. Currently, I’m taking 6 mg of Invega, 1500 mg of Depakote ER, and 60 mg of Cymbalta, and I’ve never felt better. Best of luck to you. In my view, this is the top atypical antipsychotic due to its effectiveness and side effect profile (I’ve noticed none, except for low blood pressure, which is generally beneficial). They employ advanced technology to allow the drug to be metabolized over a 24-hour period, which is optimal for symptom management. This is the most technologically sophisticated medication available at the moment.
