No side effects, the medication doesn’t make me particularly tired either.
I take one tablet in the morning and one in the evening.
My constant trembling has stopped, I no longer wake up with anxiety and feelings of fright.
Hello, I had panic attacks and an anxiety disorder for more than a year. The anxiety disorder was accompanied by heart palpitations, so my doctor prescribed me these tablets. I have to say that I lived in fear 24/7 for over a year and thought I was going to die and had 4-6 panic attacks a day. Unfortunately, I was so afraid to take the tablets. Now that I’m feeling a bit better, I’ve decided to take the tablets. Because I have heart palpitations and always get anxious and panic. My thoughts are all about my heart, but since I’ve been taking the tablets, my heart is doing better, I feel better. I take one tablet in the evening and one at lunchtime.
NW: Dizziness when standing, sitting and lying down. Drowsiness and tiredness.
I have been taking the tablets for 13 days.
Due to a current Tietze syndrome which has been keeping me on my toes for months, the doctor and psychologist prescribed me this medication. (For those of you who don’t know what Tietze syndrome is, it’s an inflammation of the rib cartilage and the irritation and pain it causes me means I’m constantly restless and, at worst, have panic attacks).
I’ve been taking the tablets since mid-July and I have permanent dry mouth.
But what’s really bothering me at the moment is the pain in both legs. I have done a lot of searching on the internet and there are several articles on this topic. I can only report here from my own experience and it’s driving me crazy at times. I take a 50 tablet in the morning, plus vitamin B12 and magnesium, with the hope that it will soon get better.
I’m actually supposed to take the tablets for 2 months for the time being, but if it doesn’t improve, I may have to see what the doctor thinks…
It would be better if we all didn’t need the medication.
50mg is slightly anxiolytic and relaxing. Above 100mg it has a sedative effect and can also be used for sleeping, but I’ve had nights when I couldn’t sleep even with 150mg. I have been very thirsty since taking opipramol. At 50mg I have slightly blurred vision, from 100mg I have very blurred vision.
I took the medication for almost 3 years.
At the beginning I had no problems with it. My sleep was better and my anxiety less, my mind calmer. After a while, however, extreme listlessness, deep exhaustion, forgetfulness and a huge rage at everything and everyone set in. But it never occurred to me that these could be side effects… In the end, however, it did occur to me and I have now been sneaking it out for a good 6 weeks. I’m now at half the dose. I feel much better now. I suddenly have energy again, can concentrate better and need less sleep.
Conclusion: in the beginning, the opipramol helped me quite well out of my anxiety. So you can give it a try. However, you should bear in mind that some side effects may only appear later and you may not associate them with it.
It helped me immediately against anxiety and stomach pains.
sleep has improved.
Side effects: Feeling thirsty, dry mouth, sometimes not a little numb (but I find it pleasant in such an anxiety phase)
I have been taking them for 7 weeks and have had palpitations in between, but tonight they were supposed to improve my fear of pre-collapse.
I take opripramol because of suspected ad(h)s and severe overload in everyday life. Everything is often too loud for me and my energy usually only lasted until midday.I cried a lot and couldn’t socialise much.I have been taking opripramol for nearly 2 weeks now and it feels like everything has become much quieter.I no longer need noise-cancelling headphones and have energy for the whole day. The only thing that gets me down from time to time is the pressure in my head and burning eyes. I take 50mg in the morning and evening. Should go up to 100mg in the evening if I tolerate it well. My body couldn’t cope with that at all. I felt like I was on drugs, my jaw was clenching and I was shaking. I then went back down to 50mg in the evening. I have a slightly depressed mood in the evening but otherwise I’m like a new person. It’s really great to feel how it feels to be a normal person travelling by train or going to family celebrations.
I take 50 mg one hour before going to sleep. Due to the onset of the menopause and personal problems, I had severe sleep disorders and restlessness during the day. This low dosage helps me very well. No side effects, only a very slight dizziness every now and then in the first two weeks. But I have always had low blood pressure. I feel much better and more balanced.
