take it for epilepsy: unsteady gait, restlessness, aggressiveness, Nausea, vomiting . never again

  2. Valium

I was initially administered Valium, and I took pain pills at home approximately 6 hours before the surgery. Just before they wheeled me into the operating room, I received an intravenous dose of Versed. Additionally, a combination block was administered via a minuscule wire inserted in the inner/upper thigh area, rendering my leg completely numb for 3 days following the Total Knee replacement. The remarkable part? The Versed left me with absolutely no recollection of what the surgeons did to my knee. It was truly fabulous! However, when the nerve-blocking wire was eventually removed, I experienced severe pain. Thankfully, the morphine IV drip and additional shots via the IV port provided relief.
