I was supposed to use the medication to detonate the muscles around my hips. I was supposed to take 2 tablets of methocarbamol once a day in the evening. After just two days, I suddenly had problems with severe heartburn at night. I tried to avoid the phenomenon with small snacks, but after four days I stopped. Since then I have also had stomach pain. As of now, the problems have not gone away.
I have severe leg pain (outer lower leg) due to sciatica syndrome. The lumbar vertebrae are irritated and painful. The pain starts in the morning after getting up. After taking ( 1500) 1-1, the medication takes full effect after approx. 1 hour. Finally the tension is released from the body. It is not a pain medication, you should understand that. It calms the entire tension/muscle in the body. It makes you calm and makes the pain more bearable. No side effects for me, I feel better. Even the shoulder and neck muscles relax (pleasantly). All the best !
I was given methocarbamol 1500mg for severe neck tension. First days 3x daily. No improvement. On day 5, about 30 minutes after use, short blackout, visual disturbance in one eye, dizziness, headache and now 2 days of persistent diarrhoea. I stopped taking it and unfortunately still have neck pain
I suffered from back pain for a while before I tried a combination therapy of methocarbamol and Novalgin. Since then, I feel like I am much better. The pain in my lower back that plagued me for months has all but disappeared. Methocarbamol alone has already brought an improvement, but it was only in combination with Novalgin that I noticed significant relief from my symptoms. I was skeptical at first whether the combination of the two medications would be good for me, but it worked like a charm! Now that I’m taking both medications, I have my full mobility back and can actively participate in sports again. Of course, there are also side effects such as occasional dizziness after taking the medication, but that is a small price to pay for the quality of life I have gained.
I was prescribed methocarbamol 1500mg because I have had pain on my right side from my neck to my shoulder for 6 days.
Unfortunately, taking this medication does not bring any improvement.
Side effects between 40-60 minutes after taking it I always feel “dizzy” for a short time but this only lasts for about 15 seconds. Otherwise no side effects.
I have severe muscular tension that radiates from my cervical spine to my shoulders and arms. My doctor prescribed me to take 1500mg methocarbamol once in the evening. The first two days I was very tired and dizzy, but all in all bearable. Yesterday on the third evening, however, I had extreme dizziness where I could only lie down and also an unpleasant emptiness, like absorbent cotton in my head. I was also no longer able to focus properly with my eyes. I won’t be taking the remedy again today. Unfortunately, my muscles didn’t relax in the three days. You would probably have to take it for longer. Unfortunately, I can’t tolerate it. I will now ask my doctor for an alternative
It is really easy to take, which I particularly like. The tablets are not too big and are easy to swallow. The fact that I only have to take them twice a day also fits in well with my daily routine.
Took methocarbamol 750 mg once, after 1 hour very very severe head and neck pain. No improvement in the back pain. Will not take it again!
At first I was a little put off by the price but after experiencing the effects for myself, I think it’s justified. It has significantly improved my quality of life and I am prepared to pay for that.
I would generally recommend methocarbamol because it has helped me with my tension. However, everyone should be aware of the side effects and weigh up whether it is right for them. For me, the side effects were minimal and negligible compared to the benefits, but I know that’s not the case for everyone.
I took one yesterday, two today as prescribed by the doctor, everything was fine this morning, now I’ve taken the second one and I have such severe dizziness and nausea. It does work and relaxes the muscles but the side effects are severe and I won’t be taking it again! Because due to the Sjogren’s syndrome I have to deal with dizziness all the time anyway. I don’t need another medication that causes dizziness.
Very good.
No NW spurted, despite 3 x daily.
Other painkillers that didn’t help me, but when methocarbamol was added, the pain finally subsided and I was able to sleep through the night.
Only ever taken Ibuprofen
I was also told to be careful when driving and that I get sleepy in the evening. I had to take some three times a day, with zero effect. My lower back pain is no better, nor have I noticed any of the aspects to be adjusted
It’s still uncertain if the medication is alleviating the spasms, as they appear to occur sporadically. However, I took a few doses last night to ensure a spasm-free sleep, and indeed, I didn’t experience any. I’ll provide an update in a couple of weeks, especially since the upcoming week will be particularly active for me. So far, I would advise maintaining adequate hydration while on this medication.
