Unfortunately loratadine did not have the desired effect on me. I used it for a few weeks to treat skin rashes but the improvements were minimal. I also had a slight headache which I attribute to the medication. Perhaps it works better for others but it is not the solution for me.
Loratadine takes away some of the symptoms but still makes me tired. Not perfect, but better than nothing.
Unfortunately, I have to take double or triple the amount for it to work, so I always have a headache! So it only helps to a limited extent, I prefer to stay indoors more at this time of year.
I didn’t receive my usual allergy medication and had a one-sided headache after the first dose. Now, after a few weeks, the headaches are getting worse and I will no longer be taking them. My skin is still itchy and the effect wears off after about 19 hours.
The headache is only on the back right and right/centre of my head. It is accompanied by nausea which is now so severe that I have to lie down.
Concerning Loratadine, the listed symptoms of overdose are indeed accurate. I suffer from seasonal allergies and decided to try a new over-the-counter medication. I assumed it was similar to other allergy medications I’ve used, so I took it as needed. However, consuming six tablets within an 8-hour period resulted in an overdose. I experienced severe headaches, extreme drowsiness, and dizziness the following day, although my heartbeat appeared normal. On the bright side, my breathing and runny nose improved significantly. I would advise against exceeding the dosage instructions on the bottle.
