This medication has changed my life. I have had migraines for over 15 years, in the last few years on over 12 days a month, especially during the pill break. Nothing has helped, from beta blockers to topiramate. This year I was prescribed Aimovig 70mg and my migraine frequency was immediately reduced to 4 days a month.
On these days, half (!!!) a rizatriptan was often enough. Previously, 2 per day were often not enough to stop an attack. Now I have increased to 140 mg and still had a slight improvement.

My hair has not fallen out. I’m just constipated or have solid bowel movements and am a bit tired. But I was tired and listless without Aimovig and even more so with migraines.

I recommend the medication and regret not having requested it earlier!

I have been taking the injection regularly for over three years
I now have a big bump on my foot. On both wrists and now the finger joints are also becoming thick and hardened. Looks like rheumatism
Could this be due to the injection?

Effectiveness good. But after 6 months bad muscle pain especially knee pain and in the legs and feet and hands and fingernails! And neck pain!

I suffer from migraines with aura sometimes so severe that I even experience symptoms of paralysis. I already have a history of chronic hives. My request to the doctors was that they take note of this and that I do not want to undergo any therapy that could trigger the hives. I was assured that this would not be the case. The hives have broken out completely and are getting worse. I have only had two injections and have not had the third. The headaches have improved somewhat. But what do I gain if I have attacks of hives from head to toe several times a day?

At 70mg I also had to take sumatriptan, then at 140mg I still have migraine symptoms 2-3 times a month for 2 days at a time, but the pain is so mild that I don’t need sumatriptan or other painkillers and the pain is even completely gone the next day, depending on the severity of the attack. I feel protected, like when the triptans came out, a great improvement in quality of life. I occasionally have ringing in my ears, I don’t know if this is a side effect, otherwise I couldn’t consciously name anything.

I was prescribed the first injection in July 23 and am glad I no longer have to take it!
After the first injection I was still fine, but after the second one it started: dizziness, extreme tiredness (so extreme that I could hardly get out of bed), palpitations, heart palpitations, headaches and weight gain.
I was no longer able to exercise and became short of breath and had cardiac arrhythmia with every little exertion. A long-term ECG showed that I had atrial fibrillation at the age of only 25!
Many of the side effects are not listed in the package leaflet, although many people report them.
My migraines came anyway and were even more intense… not even my triptans could take away the pain.
