    Hello,
I am 66 years old and have been taking bempedoic acid 180/10 mg for a month.
After taking it, my blood pressure rises from 140/80 to 165/85 with constant headaches, so I had to stop taking it.

After 1 year with various statins and the known side effects, I ended up with Nilemdo. After the first few days I was pleased because there were no side effects. Possibly some concentration problems. After 4 weeks I started googling on the Internet for side effects that were not listed in the package leaflet. I then gradually found myself in many reports: Tiredness, tension. At the same time, the first disillusionment at a medical check-up: the LDL value has only fallen from 180 to 145. This was about the same as statins alone; only in combination with Etezimip was the LDL value OK. It was therefore clear that Nilemdo alone would not be sufficient in the long term (for me with an LDL target value of less than 100).

Then, after about 5 weeks, things got really bad: first, temporarily increased blood pressure, then palpitations. Shortly afterwards I woke up at night with brutal back pain in the lumbar spine area and could not move. Ibu helped. Even more severe back pain the next night, I took Ibu again and hoped it would get better. Almost pain-free again during the day. 3rd night similar. But still tired, listless. Then discontinued Nilemdo and it got better, after 2 days almost no more complaints at night. Now we have to wait and think about returning to statins. In any case, Nilemdo never again.
